Common questions

Does Ifrit still ring if AI audio is not ready?

Yes. From Ifrit 1.1, if fresh personalized audio is unavailable the alarm uses a short bundled clip in your chosen persona's voice, then AlarmKit's system default sound — never an older AI script. See what's new in 1.1.

Why did my alarm use fallback audio?

Fresh personalized audio depends on backend generation and iOS background delivery before the alarm. If the newest alarm-specific audio does not land in time, Ifrit uses the persona fallback clip or system default rather than an older AI script.

How do I manage Ifrit Plus?

Subscriptions are managed through Apple. Open your Apple account subscription settings or use the restore/manage controls inside Ifrit. Ifrit Plus starts with a 14-day free trial, then $4.99/month.

Does Ifrit read my calendar?

Only if you choose to connect Google Calendar inside the app. When connected, Ifrit pulls a minimal day summary (counts and the next upcoming event timing) to shape the wake-up briefing. Full event payloads are not stored. You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time from the You tab in Ifrit, or revoke access from your Google account security settings.

What are Words of Affirmation?

It is one of four optional briefing toggles inside Ifrit. When it is on, your wake-up includes a short affirmation line that fits the persona you chose. You can toggle it on or off any time in the You tab.

What briefing sources can I control?

Four toggles, all opt-in: News categories, Weather, Google Calendar, and Words of Affirmation. Turn any of them off and Ifrit drops that source from the wake-up entirely.
